The experts give you early tips You should have these in Eliteserien Fantasy

In line with the number of completed training matches, the experts become more and more certain in their choices before the start of the series in the Eliteserien on 10 April.

Though; you can never be completely sure when it comes to either fantasy – in what is traditionally a difficult league to predict. There are simply too many uncertainties for that.

Will newly promoted Brann really start as well as it seems? What about Rosenborg and Vålerenga? Will they disappoint, or will the arrows of form change their curve towards the start of the series? What about LSK’s attack, or Haugesund’s defence, for that matter?

We’ve asked a selection of our fantasy experts to come up with their tips on which players you should have in your squad – based on status and available information with around 20 days left on the calendar before it breaks loose.

The rules are the same as you already know. You must stack 15 players from the Eliteserien in place within a tight budget of 100 million virtual kroner.

These are the experts’ hottest tips – one player within each tier:

Dagfinn Thon (official price setter in the Fantasy Eliteserien):
Isak Pettersson – goalkeeper – Stabæk – 4.5

There are many good goalkeeper choices this year, and one of them is Stabæk’s Swedish last chance. Stabæk has a good home program at the start of the season, and Pettersson has looked solid in the run-up. I think Bohinen’s crew can keep a few zeros.

Martin Linnes – defense – Molde – 7.0
The 31-year-old plays wing-back for the team that conceded by far the fewest goals last year. He can score goals, assist and pick up bonus points – what more could you ask for?

Albert Grønbæk – midfield – Glimt – 9.0
He arrived in Bodø last summer, and this year I think he will be in full bloom. I imagine that Glimt’s Danish inside runner will reach 15-20 goal points this year.

Bård Finne – attack – Fire – 8.5
We were on the verge of pricing last year’s Obos top scorer at 9.0 million – because he has simply looked brilliant this winter. Even though he and Brann are in the best company, I will not be surprised if Finne is found in the top three list of top scoring players in the Eliteserien 2023.

Simen Aasum, one of three on the Elite Council panel
Mads Christiansen – goalkeeper – LSK – 5.0

No goalkeeper is a must in my eyes, but I feel quite comfortable that Christensen is the top three when we count up.

LSK profile shocked by own fantasy price: – Oh, that was expensive!

Conrad Wallem – defense – Odd – 5.0
Potential giant joker if he is moved forward in the field. Ten goals last year. The clean sheet points are a pure bonus.

Hugo Vetlesen – midfield – Glimt – 11.0
The league’s best footballer for me, and I also think that makes him the game’s best scorer.

Lars-Jørgen Salvesen – attack – Viking – 9.0
Harder to choose here, I think. If you think Salvesen 9.0 will score a lot for Viking, then take the chance that he will find the rhythm from 2020 and end up with 20+ goal points in dark blue.

Sondre Golden Midtgarden, one of three on the Elite Council panel
Sten Grytebust – goalkeeper – AaFK – 4.5
A position that is not a “must own”, but a position in which there are many nice cheap alternatives! I myself have chosen to highlight Sten Grytebust at 4.5, a goalkeeper with strong saves who plays on a team I think we can see a lot of zeros from.

Vetle Dragsnes – defense – LSK – 6.0
I have a lot of faith in Lillestrøm, who have made both exciting signings and an exciting formation change. They retain wing backs, a role Dragsnes thrives in. Offensively, takes up good positions in the final third and has a good foot. Can also take some set pieces.

Albert Grønbæk – midfield – Glimt – 9.0
Came into a well-established team halfway through the season last year. Showed his qualities, and with a full run in Bodø, I think Albert will be a “must have” season 2023!

Thomas Lehne Olsen – attack – LSK – 10.0
Shall form a striker pair with Akor Adams, a duo that smells of goals. Lehne Olsen can score goals, takes penalties and has a relatively safe 90 minutes in the bag.

This is how TV 2 covers fantasy

The Elite Council will come with podcasts before and during the season. In addition, there will be a video for both tv2.no and Play with tips for players you must have – and players you can definitely steer clear of.

Kasper Foss gives you fantasy with an oblique glance. Both in social media and on tv2.no.

Dagfinn Thon and Amin Askar takes the pulse of the people. Throughout the season, you will be able to ask the questions you are most curious about – directly in our video chats in the TV 2 Sports app, and on tv2.no.

In addition, we provide weekly tips for transitions.

In the weeks before the start of the series, we publish a number of tips both as podcasts and videos.

Kasper Foss, parody king and hardcore fantasy man:
David Møller Wolfe – defense – Fire – 5.0
Young and exciting player with good feet. One of several Brann players who seem underrated considering how good they are right now. If you don’t choose Wolfe, make sure you have three of Horneland’s men on your team!

Dennis Gjengaar – midfield – Odd – 6.5
Only 19 years old and already showed last year that he is toxic in front of goal. Could be a smash hit in 2023.

Runar Espejord – attack – Glimt – 9.5
I feel pretty confident that he will be better this year than he was before in the Glimt suit. Still relatively young despite a prominent moustache. Potential top scorer this year.

Freddy dos Santos, former soccer player, now manages fantasy at Norsk Toppfotball
Mathias Dyngeland – goalkeeper – Fire – 4.5
Choose to save 0.5 million here by dropping Wahlstedt/Christiansen. Brann looks so solid that there will be some clean sheets here. And has an ok program in the opening.

Conrad Wallem – defense – Odd – 5.0
Shall burn a few kroner at Linnes 7.0 after they have got through their brutal opening programme. But I choose Wallem 5.0 here. Lots of goals, and it’s good that Odd has done away with the worst game of the year already in the cup.

Jacob Dicko – midfield – VIF – 7.5
Chooses a bit wisely, he is constantly involved in offensive situations and delivers the most goal points in VIF per minute played. And this year he gets a lot of minutes. And a little with the heart, perhaps, since probably none of the others have a VIF player on their lists.

Kasper Høgh – attack – Stabæk – 6.5
Should be in the rotation due to its affordable price. Has two good home games in the first three, but gets a rest on the bench in game 2 in Bodø. Looks like a speller, to use Steffen Iversen’s old expression.
