It seems to be growing well in Arsenal’s younger ranks.

On Saturday, 16-year-old Martin Obi made many people open their eyes.

Arsenal’s U18 team won 9–0 away against Norwich’s U18 team.

The first seven goals were scored by the 16-year-old great talent from Denmark.

– It is actually quite sick what Martin Obi is doing this season, writes Arsenal journalist Charles Watts.

He has now scored three goals or more in four of the last seven games for Arsenal’s Under-18s.

Jeorge Bird follows Arsenal’s youth team closely. He writes on X/Twitter that he cannot remember anyone scoring six goals or more in one and the same match before.

With seven goals, Obi has now scored 25 goals in nine games for Arsenal’s U18 team, according to Bird.

Last year, the Arsenal player caused a stir when he scored ten times in the 14-3 victory against Liverpool’s U16 team.

The Nigerian-Danish player’s full name is Chidozie Obi-Martin. He has previously been referred to as Chido Obi, but is consistently referred to as Martin Obi by both the club and the journalists who cover the U18 team most closely.
