In the series, which currently tops the list of the most watched on Netflix globally, viewers get to know the character Martha Scott – a Scottish woman who becomes morbidly obsessed with the bartender and stand-up comedian Richard Gadd (33).

Gadd wrote the screenplay himself and also plays himself in the lead role of Donny Dunn.
The series is based on his own experiences, but the roles in the series have been given fictional names.

In a post on X on Wednesday, celebrity TV host Piers Morgan announced that would-be “real stalker” Martha Scott is guesting on his show “Uncensored” to “clear the case” and “give her side.”
Several international media have mentioned the interview.

However, the woman is said to have reacted after the interview.
She told the Daily Record she was “not happy” with Morgan’s question, accusing the TV host of being biased and “loving” show creator Gadd.
– It feels like I was deceived. I feel a bit used, she told the newspaper.
– Never been in prison
Earlier this week, the woman herself came forward after being outed by fans who had speculated on who the character was based on.
She told the Daily Record that she was considering going to court against Netflix and Gadd, and that the events of the series were “full of nonsense”.
– Gadd must prove that I was in prison, which did not happen. I’ve never been to prison. It is obvious, she told the newspaper.
– Everything is made up and exaggerated. There is no curfew anywhere. I haven’t had the police at my door for any of these things.
Prayer to the fans
The series creator has previously asked TV fans not to unravel who the characters are based on.
– Please do not speculate on who the real people might be. That’s not the point of the series, wrote Richard Gadd on Instagram.
Martha Scott is played by actress Jessica Gunning (38).
In a previous interview with the Los Angeles Times, she said it was important to treat the character with respect and not make fun of her.
– I don’t think she ever intended to be scary, even if she was perceived that way, she said of the character.
