Princess Anne of Great Britain is coming to Norway

Curiosities and celebrities: During the visit, the royal guests will be given a tour of the exhibition, before they meet the witness of the time, Trond Johansen, who turns 100 on 13 May.

– Johansen acted as an agent for the intelligence organization XU in Drammen and was considered to be one of the most important sources of information about the occupying power. After the war, he was central to the development of Norway’s military intelligence service and retired as assistant director in 1994, the Royal Palace says.

Princess Anne and Crown Prince Haakon will also unveil a plaque commemorating the intelligence cooperation between the two nations during the Second World War.

– With a strong commitment to military matters, Princess Anne has visited Norway and the Norwegian armed forces a number of times. For a number of years, she has been involved in various organizations and initiatives that support military veterans, vulnerable soldiers and their families, Slottet points out.
