Here, 73 per cent of the population in Norway replied that it does not matter whether private, non-profit or public health actors deliver the services, as long as you get help and treatment through the publicly funded health and care services when you need it.

73 percent think so that those who use private healthcare services relieve the burden on the public healthcare system and contribute to reducing healthcare queues.

We must take it for granted that Hamar’s population is part of the country’s population.

In Hamar, too, there is great pressure on the municipalities’ health services, and the pressure will increase in the years to come.

It is then quite incomprehensible that the municipality’s political and administrative leadership says no to looking at Herbergier, a private offer for the demented located on Nes.

Their aim is to develop better solutions in care, more individually adapted services which should be more cost-effective.

Innkeepers’ offer will be an alternative to existing offers.

And thus: cooperation between public and private health services. That the individual should be able to choose between alternatives, which can lead to competition. Which in turn can contribute to a stronger focus on improving everyone’s offer.

Kantar’s survey then shows that Hamar’s political and administrative leadership is on a collision course with what people are concerned about. They should take note of this.
