On Sunday at 10 a.m., the parties will meet for mediation at the Ombudsman. If the mediation with Virke does not lead to progress, there could be a general strike from midnight to Tuesday.
Both HK and Parat warn that building materials stores, grocery stores and duty-free shops in particular will be affected by the strike. HK warns that very many stores in Norgesgruppen and Coop have employees who are taken out on strike, as well as in the administration of Coop Norge.
HK’s demands in the negotiations are, among other things, increased purchasing power, a proper skills reform and an increased allowance for Sundays.
In Åsane, several shops may be affected:
Meny Åsane Storsenter, Coop Obs Horisont, Coop Obs Bygg in Haukås, HM in Horisont, and Coop Extra in Nyborg will be affected by the strike, shows an overview of the first withdrawal.
On a national basis, the strike includes more than 4,256 HK members distributed across businesses across the country.
Handel og Kontor wrote last Wednesday that there could be a strike in the duty-free shops, which Travel Retail Norway rejected.
