That’s what a witness told VG, who had her heart in her throat when a car came towards her on the two-lane motorway on Wednesday evening.
Operations manager Vegard Møane in the police in Agder tells VG that they have received three independent reports about the car driving in the wrong direction on the E18, towards Kristiansand. This at Farisbroa in Larvik.
The tipster tells VG that roadworks are underway at the site, and therefore she suspects that the driver may have driven the wrong way after passing the roadworks. The same description has been received by the police.
– The person may have forgotten to turn off in their direction of travel after the road work ceased, says the witness.
Møane in the police says that they haven’t received any more messages about the three, and that they don’t have the car’s registration number either.
– The car has not been searched. We have notified Vegtrafikksentralen, who will contact the contractor for the road work on site, says Møane.
