Four people of foreign nationality have been arrested by the FSB security service and are suspected of having participated in the terrorist attack against a concert hall in Moscow in March.
Monday 1 April at 17:46The Russian security service claims that these four people were directly involved in that they gave money and equipment to those who carried out the attack. 144 people were killed in the terror, and more than 550 were injured.
The four were arrested in the Russian republic of Dagestan in the northern Caucasus on Monday, according to the FSB.
The FSB also claims that the four people planned an attack in the Russian city of Kaspiysk and, according to the security service, must have prepared explosives and acquired weapons. The FSB did not provide any further details about the alleged planned attack.
The extremist group IS has claimed responsibility for the attack, but President Vladimir Putin also blames Ukraine and has claimed that the accused were arrested while fleeing to Ukraine.
Ukrainian authorities deny the allegations.
Four men who have already been arrested and suspected of carrying out the attack are Tajik citizens. Tajik authorities are said to have arrested nine people in connection with the terror attack. It is not known where the four who were arrested on Monday are from.
