At Tek you will find cases with advertisement links, where you can either buy the products we have mentioned or compare prices. We believe this is relevant information for our readers.

Which products Tek will write about, and what we will write about them, is chosen by the journalists and no one else. But it is also important that you know that if you click on such an ad link for price comparison at Prisjakt, or buy a product after clicking through to a store from one of our articles, Tek makes money. These advertisement links are always marked with “ad link”.

It is important to emphasize that when we mention products at Tek, it is because we think it is journalistically interesting. No one can buy publicity in our cases.

In tests or product guides, the main rule in VG is that we buy or borrow the product. If it is not practically possible, we base the review on product samples we have been sent. If so, we will inform you about which product and why.

With over 140 million consoles sold since 2017, the Switch is one of Nintendo’s best-selling consoles ever.

With their advanced age, many are now impatiently waiting for the successor, which could be released at the beginning of next year.

Now we may have found out a little more about how “Switch 2” will actually be.

The rumors are supported by accessory manufacturer Mobapad, who claim they have learned the details while developing a controller for the upcoming console.

Gets a better screen and support for old games

Among the most exciting rumors for a “Switch 2” is that it will be backwards compatible Check Switch backwards compatibleWhen a new console or device can use games or software from the previous model. with today’s Switch games. This should apply to both digital and physical games that come on small cassettes.

The games released for Switch 2 will also support 4K resolution when played via the docking solution on the TV, and although this will most likely happen by means of upscaling, it has not been confirmed.

Today’s Switch supports Full HD resolution via the TV.

Switch 2 can get an eight-inch screen with Full HD resolution, also known as 1080p.

The regular Switch model’s screen measures 6.2 inches, while the newer OLED model’s screen is 7 inches. In both cases, the resolution is only HD, or 720p.

Unfortunately, there is little indication that the Switch 2 will be launched with an OLED panel, which is speculated to appear at a later date.

New fastening mechanism

Switch 2 will reportedly also have more buttons on the controllers, and while the concept of removable “joy-cons” will remain, the attachment mechanism will be magnetic rather than mechanical as it is today. This should make it much faster to attach and pick up the control levers.

Today’s Pro controllers are supposed to work with the Switch 2.

As always, it is wise to take the rumors with a large dose of salt, especially because it is atypical for Nintendo’s partners to blow such information to the public, and unclear why an accessory manufacturer would have access to information that is not directly related to what they produce.
