TEN HAG WITH POSITIVE INJURY NEWS:
Lisandro Martínez has been out of action since the 3-0 win over West Ham at the start of February, but against Brentford on Saturday night the Argentine centre-back could be back.
Erik ten Hag hinted at that at Friday’s press conference.
– Yes, it is a possibility, says the Dutchman when asked if he wants to return.
– We have missed him in every match, because he brings calm to the team and at the same time a winning attitude, he continues.
Casemiro and Harry Maguire are two others that are linked to uncertainty, and Ten Hag says that there are some players on the way back, without mentioning the two specifically.
– There are some returning players, who are back on the field and training with the team. Now we have one more training, but most likely we have some players back in the squad, says Ten Hag.
The manager also says that Luke Shaw is also likely to be back before the end of the season.
– I expect him back before the end of the season. He is still on track and will return to our team, says Ten Hag.
