On Sunday morning, the mediation between HK Norway (Handel og Kontor) and Virke began with the Riksmekleren. If the parties do not agree by midnight on Monday, several thousand people will be taken out on strike.
HK Norge has notified that Travel Retail Norway, in addition to several stores in Norgesgruppen and Coop, are at risk of being taken out. The announced strike action includes more than 4,200 HK members distributed across businesses across the country.
The reason for the breach is that HK Norway wants increased purchasing power, a proper skills reform and an increased allowance for Sunday working.
– Our members work in shops we all see and use every day. Many will probably notice when the local Coop store or the entire Taxfree at Gardermoen closes, says union leader Christopher Beckham in a press release.
At Romerike, the following shops may be affected by the strike:
-
Hennes & Mauritz AS Strømmen
-
Hennes & Mauritz AS Jessheim
-
Lampemagasinet AS department Jessheim
-
Lampemagasinet AS dept. Lillestrøm
-
Menu Sketten
-
Travel Retail Norway AS dept. Oslo Airport
-
