The salaries of the biggest football stars have become a hot topic at the same pace as they have grown bigger.
One thing that cannot be overlooked is that being good at football helps the wallet. In recent years, more and more people have taken the trip to Saudi Arabia in the Middle East, where it is reported that the players bring in huge sums.
But according to a recent list from the major French newspaper L’Equipe, it is still quite a luxury to play in Europe.
Although it is very rare to know the exact amount on the payslip, can such lists give a clue as to what kind of numbers you are dealing with.
– He earns the most
Preferably at the top of L’Equipe’s list of Europe’s best-paid players, Kylian Mbappé reigns – miles ahead of the next man on the list.
At Paris Saint-Germain, the French superstar has a monthly salary of 5.15 million pounds, according to the newspaper. This corresponds to a staggering 69 million Norwegian kroner, and gives an annual salary of 830 million.
Mbappé is known to leave PSG when his contract expires at the end of the season.
In second place we find England captain and Bayern Munich player Harry Kane. He is said to have a monthly salary of just over NOK 24 million, which makes him the Bundesliga’s best-paid.

Claiming bonuses could give Haaland a monster salary
Next on the list are Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Braut Haaland.
Despite reportedly not being close to Mbappé’s salary, the Manchester City duo are not suffering any hardship.
De Bruyne apparently earns NOK 23.4 million a month, while Haaland reportedly earns just over NOK 22 million.
But according to the British newspaper Daily Mail, this is nowhere near what the Norwegian superstar, who is currently on a national team training session with Norway, can earn.
They claim that Haaland has a number of “almost guaranteed” bonuses in the contract, which could result in the 23-year-old earning 46 million a month.
Haaland also has a number of assignments and agreements outside of football, including with the sports giant Nike, which probably makes the number grow significantly.
The Nike agreement could be worth NOK 250 million annually, The Athletic has previously reported.
