– Sounded like the freight train under the house! writes Anne Grethe Aalandslid (44), who lives in Voss, in a message to VG at 04.26.
EMSC The European Earthquake Centre. writes on its website that the earthquake was registered at 04:21 Norwegian time, around 22 kilometers north-northeast of Voss in Western Norway, and 84 kilometers north-east of Bergen.
On the phone, Aalandslid says that she was woken up by the earthquake.
– I didn’t understand anything. There was a terribly loud noise and the house shook. Then it was just as if the goods train disappeared further, she says.

Aalandslid says that she has also experienced earthquakes in the past, but that this one was more violent than before.
– This was the most powerful thing I have experienced, I think, she says.
VG has also received messages from people in Bergen who say they felt the quake, which according to EMSC happened around 84 kilometers northeast of the city.
