Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool have started their preparations for Sunday’s game against Brighton. On Thursday afternoon, the German had 25 (pictured) players with him on the training field at AXA.
Virgil van Dijk was of course back, as were Joe Gomez, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, among others.
There were still many players who were not involved, or have not been pictured. Ibrahima Konate and Kostas Tsimikas are two of them, but it is believed that the duo have had an extra day of rest after the national team break.
Andy Robertson was also not in place, which is perhaps natural after the injury he sustained in the international match against Northern Ireland. Fortunately, the injury is not serious, so the left-back is expected to return to action before too long.
Alisson, Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Stefan Bajcetic, Diogo Jota, Thiago, Curtis Jones, Bobby Clark and Ben Doak were also not included. Several of them will soon be back in the game.
