Join an art walk through the town hall where you will see brand new art that has been made especially for the town hall, art that has hung in the town hall since the building was completed and newly purchased art.

If you visit Bergen, you can hardly avoid seeing Bergen Town Hall. A 51.2 meter high wall colossus in the middle of the city that is both loved and hated. The town hall was completed in 1974 and we mark the building’s 50th year of inviting Bergen residents and visitors into the stronghold of local democracy.

New and old art

The 50-year-old building is the workplace for close to 500 politicians and administrative employees, and behind the gray brick walls today hides a completely modern and newly refurbished administration building with activity-based workplaces.

Our skilled staff at the Art Section will take you on an art walk through the town hall where you will see brand new art that has been made especially for the town hall, art that has hung in the town hall since the building was completed and newly purchased art.

Order free tickets here

The event is free, but registration is required and you will be sent a ticket upon registration. Registration and start of the tours is at the town hall’s reception at Rådhusgaten 10.

You can choose between six different times between 16:00 and 18:00.
