A little after 09.15, the police announced over a megaphone that it was an illegal demonstration and the demonstrators were given five minutes to move, according to Aftenposten.

At 09.30 the police began to remove the demonstrators and the main entrance to the Storting is now to be reopened.

– Two entrances to the Storting are now open to free traffic, says Aina Colban, head of assignment at the Oslo police district to VG.

She says that they have brought in 12 people who chose not to comply with the police’s demand to remove themselves.

They will probably be charged.

In total, there were 40–50 people who stood on Løvebakken in this illegal demonstration, according to Colban.

– The removal of the demonstrators went peacefully, she says.

The demonstrators who obeyed the police’s order to remove themselves gathered in Eidsvolls plass.

– There are still police patrols on site to ensure that the building is not blocked off again, she says.
