According to Eikås, the occasion is that Pia, or Søgne’s dance queen, Pia Kristine Lieng, has been nominated for the people’s prize at this year’s Dance Awards 2024. She is one of 20 semi-finalists, and now it is up to the people to vote for the winner. The Dance Awards are the Danish Dance Association’s answer to the sports gala.
– This is big, and Pia deserves this more than anyone else. She has not only started a dance club, but she has built up a club with a great community and joy for all young hopefuls. Those of us who know Pia and the dance club know how much she means to all the children and young people in the club. They really look up to her. The effort she has put in every day for 10 years has really left a mark in the lives of many. Now it’s Pia’s turn to shine! Vote for Pia, and let’s together ensure that her wild efforts are honored with the People’s Prize, is the call from chairman Eikås.
