Traffic, District Nordstrand | This is how trams 13 and 19 run from Nordstrand now

--

On Monday afternoon at 3pm, the trams gradually started to run all the way from Ljabru to the center again. There has been a bus for tram between Ekebergparken and Oslo hospital on lines 13 and 19 ever since 4 September 2023.

After eight long months, people could drive the tram all the way again.

Admittedly, there were some delays at the very beginning. On Monday morning, there was still a bus for the tram from Holtet to Bjørvika, despite the fact that the tram should actually be running again on Saturday 4 May. There were further delays on Sunday when a work machine derailed during work on the catenary. On Monday, the work was underway again, and now the tram is back on rails up Kongsveien.

Tonje Bergmo in Sporveien could tell Nordstrands Blad that they started cautiously running the tram again on Monday, and that travelers had to wait a few hours before normal tram operation.

– It has to take a while. But tomorrow morning everything will go as normal, with the caveat that everything goes as planned, Bergmo told Nordstrands Blad on Monday.

Press guard in Ruter, Øystein Dahl Johansen, confirms at 7 o’clock on Tuesday morning that the trams to and from Nordstrand are in normal operation again.

– The tram started running as normal on Monday afternoon. We drove a few emergency buses just to relieve some of the load during rush hour yesterday, says Dahl Johansen.

He adds that Ruter is happy that the tram is back on track again.

– It has been a long period and those who have traveled there have been very patient.
