In a Facebook post late on Monday evening, the RU leader writes:
“Just wanted to announce to you at home in Drammen that due to the position I am so lucky to have been given, I have completely blown my capacity. I also have meetings with the parliamentary group on Wednesdays! This means that I will have to withdraw from the main committee on upbringing and education, which also has meetings on Wednesdays,” she writes.
“It’s a shame, because I genuinely think that it has been very exciting to learn more about how children and young people are doing in Drammen, and this is a matter close to my heart in municipal politics. But then you know!”, she writes in conclusion.

Kaur has been heavily criticized in recent days after she posted a video on TikTok in which she calls Jonas Gahr Store, Jens Stoltenberg and Nicolai Tangen terrorists. She later regretted this.
On Friday, she was arrested during a civil disobedience action in front of the entrance to Norges Bank. Kaur and a number of others refused to follow the police order to leave the place. After a dialogue and a warning, she was reluctantly arrested.
She later confirmed to Nettavisen that she was fined by the police.
