For people to choose to listen to Essentially in a jungle of entertainment and content, humor and sniping are loose. With a traveling and ambulatory podcast studio, Brage and his colleagues in Pipelife Norway seek out people who are passionate about the VA profession and let them talk informally about themselves and the industry.

The mix between subjects and entertainment means that the listener both satiates his appetite for keeping up-to-date and entertained.

— The VA industry is exciting, and not least full of experts and zealots who have a lot of interesting things at heart. I think it is important that the industry gets a showcase, without the podcast being a sales platform for either Pipelife or the guests, says communications manager Brage Stenberg Johnsen at Pipelife Norway.

For Brage and the team at Pipelife, it has been important to let people and professions shine.

— Many companies that start podcasts treat it as a sales and advertising channel. Instead, we have been concerned with highlighting different voices from the entire industry and getting to know the people.

The technical talk comes naturally.

– We talk about topics we know the industry is passionate about – and then we handpick exciting guests who have a lot of interesting things to report and talk about important issues in a popular and everyday way. There will be the occasional fire torch, and a good deal of sideways glances at small and large things that happen in our industry, he explains.

Although professional talk and industry news permeate the episodes, the presenter promises a good atmosphere, mood and humour.
