Found body parts in his freezer – NRK Buskerud – Local news, TV and radio

--

Over a period of four years, from 2017 to 2021, the Norwegian is said to have carried out operations where, among other things, he has removed men’s testicles and penis at home in his apartment in London.

He was paid by the men who allegedly wanted the operation carried out. These were filmed and streamed live via a separate payment website called “The Eunuch Maker”.

The man in his 40s is said to have earned over NOK 4 million from this business, before he was arrested in March 2021.

The website had 22,841 registered users from all over the world when the police intervened.

Showing pictures in court

– It was not on the dark web, it was available to anyone. That was how the men came into contact with each other. He recruited like-minded people into his dangerous business, prosecutor Caroline Carberry said in her proceedings.

She said that the surgery took place in several different apartments, and also in hotel rooms.

– He was the ring leader, who manipulated others who were vulnerable, said Carberry.

On Thursday, the prosecutor showed several photos and videos, and she gave detailed descriptions of what the “operations” were like. The court was shown pictures of his freezer, where there were packages of frozen body parts.

The prosecutor also told how the drinker and those he chatted with online discussed the best preparation methods. In several of the videos that were played in court, screams were heard from those who were subjected to the operations.

“That really fucking hurts man,” says one.

The Norwegian is present via video link from Wandsworth Prison, as courtroom 5 is not wheelchair-friendly. It was expected that the sentencing from Judge Mark Lucraft would come on Friday, but it may be postponed until over the weekend, due to the scope of the case.

The Norwegian streamed the operations he performed online, for a fee. In England he is called “The Eunuch Maker”.

Underwent operations myself

The Norwegian is said to have been part of an environment characterized by extreme body modification, called “nullos”. It is short for genital nullification, by having the penis and testicles removed.

This is not a new movement. In 2012, a 23-year-old Japanese artist had his genitals removed, which he then cooked and served to paying guests, writes CBS.

In a 2022 online interview cited by British media, said the Drammenser that he had castrated 58 other men, and that he kept the genitals in alcohol in his freezer. He also said that the reason he had himself castrated was because he wanted to “look like a Ken doll underneath”.

The police believe this knife was used when the Norwegian paid another to have his penis removed.

He was named “Eunuchthe maker’ in British newspapers, and has amputated both his penis, a nipple and a leg.

The Norwegian is said to have stated to the press that he performed the operations on others in a professional manner.

Rumors of murder

On Wednesday, NRK was in the area where the Norwegian lived, in Haringey in North London. It looks like a classic part of an English city, with several beautiful buildings. The Drammensener lived in a basement apartment.

– One day there were several ambulances and police cars there. There were rumors that there had been a murder, but after a few weeks we found out what had actually happened in the apartment, says David.

He never saw the man himself, but said that for a period ambulances came there regularly.

Another Londoner, Justin, says he has never heard of anything like it.

– Since there were so many police there, for a week, we thought they had found half a dozen bodies buried in the basement or in the wall or something like that, he says.

At local pub The Salisbury, Michael, Rado and Neil enjoy a beer after work. They have followed the case in recent years.

– It is a very, very strange case, and I was shocked when I heard what had happened. There is some crime here, but it is mostly street crime. This was on a whole other level.

Admitted grievous bodily harm

The man from Drammen has already been sentenced, and that is the sentence the court must now conclude. He has been convicted of:

  • Five cases of serious injury to another person’s body.
  • Conspiracy to cause such harm to others.
  • Production and distribution of indecent images.
  • Possession of illegal assets.

There were several court hearings in the case in 2023. When he appeared for preliminary hearings, he pleaded neither guilty nor innocent. But in November he admitted grievous bodily harm to another person’s body, the BBC writes.

The Norwegian has also been convicted of storing and distributing child abuse images. He has been in prison since his arrest in December 2021.

NRK has asked for an interview with the dramatist, via his lawyers:

– We have taken up the request, but he does not want it. We do not have the opportunity to talk to anyone about this case, Hetherington’s Solicitors writes to NRK in an email.

Paid to be mutilated

Three men were sentenced in January for having removed the penis, nipple and contributed to the amputation of the Norwegian’s leg. The Norwegian himself is said to have asked them to carry out the interventions.

His leg is said to have been frozen with dry ice, to ensure that it was so damaged that an amputation was necessary.

A former nurse has admitted stealing anesthetics from a local hospital. He told the court that in the summer of 2019 he partially removed the Norwegian’s nipple.

These three were convicted in January of having caused grievous bodily harm to the Norwegian.

Another man, who according to British newspapers was a male escort worker, has admitted that he removed the Norwegian’s penis in February 2017, for a payment of almost NOK 7,000.

He told the court that he felt nauseous and vomited afterwards.

In January, all three men were sentenced to prison for three, two and five years for grievous bodily harm.

– Terrible material

After the verdict became clear, Detective Inspector Amanda Greig of the Metropolitan Police said:

– This has been a lengthy investigation which was extremely challenging due to the complexity of the offences. My team has gone through an enormous volume of horrific material to identify victims and offenders.

She further encourages people who have experience of this to contact the police.

– The criminals are part of a larger network of men who have participated in illegal backstreet operations, often with life-threatening consequences. We have identified the network which spans the UK and several countries, which means we share intelligence with a number of police forces.
