Rumors that the WHO has calmed down are unfortunately considerably exaggerated

After protests from all over the world, one can now get the impression that WHO has taken the criticism seriously and has moderated both in the WHO treaty and in IHR, the international health regulations. You can see that here as well https://twitter.com/Togetherdec/status/1783482384437969087.

The current draft can be found here: Working Group on Amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005).

It would have been very good if it had been this good, but our first review of the changes shows that it is unfortunately not that good. Tactical and editorial changes have been made, some wording has been made more rounded. But the fundamental problems with these documents remain.

Human rights

The WHO had been criticized for removing human rights from the treaty. They have taken that wording back again. But how important is it? That is another matter.

They place all the more importance on what is called One Health, which is vague, woolly and can be filled with whatever the WHO wants:

The WHO has rightly been criticized for wanting to knee-jerk the “fight against disinformation” in the treaty. It may appear as if it has been removed, but in reality it has only been moved from paragraph 18 to Annex 1.

It may look as if they have calmed down when it comes to vaccine passports, but in reality they have only moved it to Annex 6 and 7, and it is the WHO Secretary-General who will decide which vaccines will be included in the passports, thus having full control .

“Public health emergency of common interest”

This vague concept becomes the tool that enables the WHO Secretary-General to declare a global crisis.

What is an “extraordinary event”? It can probably include anything the rulers want from “climate” to “data blockout”.

And “pandemic” can be declared by the WHO Secretary-General alone:

Measures

-implement quarantine or other health measures for suspected infected persons, “implement quarantine or other health measures for suspect persons”;

– implement isolation and treatment where necessary for affected (infected) persons, “implement isolation and treatment where necessary of affected persons”;

-implement tracing of contacts of suspect or affected persons, “implement tracing of contacts of suspect or affected persons”;

-refuse entry of suspected and affected persons, “refuse entry of suspect and affected persons”;

-refuse entry of unaffected persons into affected areas, “refuse entry of unaffected persons to affected areas”; duck

-implement exit screening and/or restrictions on persons from affected areas, “implement exit screening and/or restrictions on persons from affected areas”.

Global digital health passport

The European Commission and WHO launch landmark digital health initiative to strengthen global health security.

Only vaccines approved by the WHO make the certificate valid.

Summary

Unfortunately, the new versions of the treaty and the IHL do not mean any significant improvement. All the dictatorial powers are there, the WHO Secretary-General’s ability to declare an international state of emergency on a diffuse basis is there, censorship of other research and information is there and the digital vaccine passports are incorporated.

In short: The fight continues!
