Bearing, Podcast | New Peiling episode is out: – You feel a little nervous when you have to sell a coin worth two million becks

--

PODCAST: Eirik Myge (45) only worked as a teacher for three years before the hobby became a job. He is an expert on coins, notes and other things people collect. In the podcast Peiling, he tells a bit about why some old coins are almost worthless, while others cost several millions.

The most expensive thing he has sold at auction was a coin for NOK 2.6 million. They have also seen coins they thought would be sold for hundreds of rupiahs go for NOK 60,000.

– Then the pulse rises well, says Eirik.

In the podcast, Eirik Myge tells how such sales take place, and how the collectors work. He also gives tips on what people should think about when they wonder whether their own coin collections have any value. And is coin collecting an easy path to riches?

Maybe not, but:

– A taxi driver stopped by with some notes he had lying around. He had imagined they might be worth NOK 500, and then he got NOK 64,000. That’s fun, says Eirik.

Bearing is heard where you usually listen to podcasts.

Spotify:

Or Apple Podcast.

We also talk about all the weird things people collect. Did you know someone collects traffic cones? Or clipped nails?

In Iceland, a guy collects penises from different mammals. Eirik has of course visited that museum.

Eirik is also a keen musician. That’s what we’re talking about. And salmon fishing. And frisbee golf. And more!

By the way, we also ask why Eirik Myge placed a thank-you ad in the newspaper when he turned 32.

– Sometimes I laugh at my own jokes, and I laughed at that one.

We also get to hear the story of when Delta Pumpefabrikk became Delta Rumpefabrikk.
