Nord University has economics and management courses of varying scope – from annual studies, via bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees to doctorate. The university has campuses in both Nordland and Trøndelag, and as many as six study centers can tempt you with a management education at this year’s admissions.

The annual study in Personnel management and competence development and the bachelor’s degree in Economics and administration are examples of courses offered in several places. The traditional civil economics education is a master’s degree that has one and a half applicants per study place and is offered in Bodø.

– It is very gratifying to see the great interest in our courses in economics and management. The competence the students achieve is relevant for a wide range of businesses, in both public and private sector. It is also good to note that many of the studies are offered at several study centres. Flexible studies are popular

In total, there are 213 people who have applied for one of Nord University’s kindergarten teacher training courses, towards 138 last year. Following requests for decentralized kindergarten teacher training from several municipalities in both northern part of Trøndelag and the southern part of Nordland, Nord University chose to move 30 study places from the campus education in Levanger to an online and collection-based education at Kolvereid which runs over four years. The change has so far produced the desired results with a total of 55 applicants.

Nord universitet has a total of 29 study programs in Samordna optakt which are collection-based. This is a popular category of studies.

– A picture emerges that flexibility is important for many who seek education. We see it clearly for our kindergarten teacher trainings, but also for other trainings. In addition to collection-based program, we have four online study programs that are also popular. It is an important part of society’s mission to be present with educational offers that are of high professional quality and flexible organisation, says Levi Gårseth-Nesbakk.

Other educations in Samordna uptakt

Nord University has a total of 4,300 first-priority applicants in this year’s Samordna admissions, a slight increase from 4,219 applicants in 2023.

This year, the university is advertising a part-time paramedic education in Namsos. For the 30 study places it has a total of 277 applicants who have the study at the top of their wish list signed up. The nursing education has 415 study places in Samordna admissions and has 416 first-priority applicants. Social studies education at Nord University is the first choice for 615 applicants, while educations within aquaculture and agriculture caught the interest of 334 applicants.

Local recording

In addition to Coordinated admissions, Nord University advertises many studies for local admission. A number of the studies on local admission are online-based, which means that the students meet teachers and each other digitally.

Procurement management, E-health and Practical-pedagogical education are examples of online studies there there is a queue to get in.

– Online studies have the advantage that they can be completed in their entirety from a location of your choice. Earlier were mostly shorter online studies. This year we are also announcing a master’s degree in kindergarten pedagogy. It is great to see that we have 71 applicants for 30 study places, says vice-chancellor Levi Gårseth-Nesbakk.
