– The night clubs in Bergen close too early! They close at 03, but should be open until the morning. At least for 04 and 05 which I’m used to from Belgium.

– I take the 16 bus between Årstad and Sandviken and was really surprised that it runs so regularly! This is not the case in the UK!

The mentality
– I chose to study in Bergen because I like the Scandinavian mentality. The balance between work and leisure is better here than here in France where people work from 8am to 6pm.

The lifestyle
– I also like the Scandinavian lifestyle. Life here is more relaxing than at home, where many people work from 8am to 8pm. I love getting out into nature in my free time, either to run or just go for a walk. I would love to come back here later in life!

– I originally intended to become a doctor, but changed my mind. I am now in my 5th year and have one year left before I graduate as an architect. I like everything about the tasks, from the idea to the finished building and I like to work on everything from small houses to large buildings.

– The stupidest thing they can do is put the Bybanen in front of Bryggen. It will destroy the fine Bryggen. Destroy the visual. It should go through the mountain. In fact, they should have buried it all the way, it shouldn’t have seen the light of day.

Incomprehensible bill
– A couple of years ago I had a TV subscription with Telenor and at the same time a subscription with Allente. I had the impression that Allente was the one to call, if I had problems with TV. Since then I have had Telia, which became too complicit for me (I am 76 years old). Then I switched to Telenor and had it installed. Mentioned to the installer that I had received a card from Allente. Got the answer that I didn’t need to, and to date I’ve managed on my own. Now I received an invoice from Allente for NOK 845. I have called them and said that I do not need this. They claimed that I had entered into a binding subscription, which I am not aware of. Should I pay for something I don’t need and don’t use? Who uses Allente?

Nice Bergen
– Bergen is so beautiful. Just the right size, with walking distance to most everything. And lots of cute cafes, such as Det lille Kaffekompaniet, Nobel Bopel and Kaffemisjonen. And the weather isn’t as bad as many people think it is either!
