– It will be expensive enough.
That’s what artist and presenter Ulrikke Brandstorp (28) says to VG. Two years ago, she became engaged to her boyfriend Oskar Nordberg.
In one month’s time (hopefully) the artist and the fiance will say yes to each other in Spain.
– It bubbles throughout the body. I feel newly in love.
They will celebrate their love with a long weekend in a small town outside Barcelona. The wedding party itself is on 7 June.
– There will be just over 150 guests. It’s pretty crazy, says Brandstorp.
And a separate hotel is rented for all the guests.
– We go “all in”. I have told Oskar that if I have to get married again, it will be in the town hall, she says with a laugh.
But it is not just the number of guests that is “crazy”, according to her herself.
– I think the wedding dress will surprise a bit.
– I found it on the internet, and then I found a salon in Oslo that carried the brand. But it is a little non-Norwegian, so they had to order it in.
When the dress arrived in Oslo after two months, she finally got to try it on.
– Then the tears came. It’s like in the movies!
Missing wedding rings
The long weekend kicks off with a visit to a vineyard, followed by a pizza party in the hotel’s backyard. On the day itself, the party will take place in an old castle.
– The first time I got there, my chin was on the ground. It was a real adventure site.
And it all ends with a party by the pool the following day.
In other words, the couple has thought of everything – except the “most important”.
– What is beginning to be a bit urgent is that we have forgotten wedding rings. And that is perhaps somewhat significant.
– Have you looked at anyone then?
– No, we constantly think that we have to do it. But then it goes into oblivion.
In April, Brandstorp and Nordberg were in Spain – then to check out food.
– Then we lost our luggage, and it occurred to me that I must get the dress down safely. That’s why I asked my brother-in-law very nice if they want to do their future daughter-in-law a big favor.
– So they will actually drive the dress down with a motorhome.
