On Tuesday, it became known that professional dancer Helene Spilling (26) and Martin Ødegaard (24) were together in London, on the occasion of the London Football Awards.
Here, Ødegaard was named London’s best footballer.
People also noticed that the Arsenal captain was carrying Spilling on the red carpet.
So far, neither Spilling nor Ødegaard have commented on the romance rumours.
The roommate hinted further
Shortly after the photo was shared in the media, Spilling’s partner Birgit Skarstein (34) shared a separate photo on Instagram. There, the girls pose with an Arsenal scarf with Ødegaard’s name.

The athlete does not want to answer why the roommates shared the photo on Instagram.

– Very high in the Norwegian context
The romance rumors seem to be serving the pro dancer’s social media account.
Less than 24 hours after TV 2 first published the photo of the duo, Spilling gained close to 3,000 new followers on Instagram.

Managing director of Areca and social media expert Ståle Lindblad believes that the growth is high in the Norwegian context.
– It is not every day that Norwegian Instagram users get so many new followers, he says.
– In an international context, it is not quite spectacular, but if you look at this in a Norwegian context, it is very high.
He believes that a good part of Spilling’s new followers may come from international accounts.
– I think a good number are probably Martin Ødegaard’s followers. They are curious if he has a new girlfriend. His fans would like to know, and then follow her to see more of him, he says.
She has to do this to keep her growth
However, the social media expert believes that the growth of new followers will not last too long, unless Spilling makes some active choices.
– A case like this passes quite quickly, as the followers are often spontaneous. It will pass very quickly unless they continue to post pictures, he says and continues:
– If they continue to date or be friends, they will maintain her visibility to other people. It’s just driving while it has news interest.
Lindblad also believes that the duo’s silence contributes to increased interest in the professional dancer.
– It gives it a little extra that there is mystery around it. The picture came without any explanation or background to the situation, he says.
Lindblad believes one thing is certain for Spilling to maintain its growth in followers:
