For two weeks, the SAS pilots have been on strike. It is uncertain whether the parties will reach an agreement.

Negotiation leader Marianne Hernæs told the press that had appeared in Stockholm on Monday morning that the parties are soon at the end of the road.

There is a lot of tension about what the parties will come to during the negotiations on Monday. Among other things, Hernæs answered yes to the question of whether today was a “make it or break it” situation.

If the parties reach a solution, the work of getting the planes in the air begins immediately.

– A lot will be in place already the first day, says press manager Tonje Sund in SAS to Nettavisen on Monday afternoon.

It will take a few days

Sund says that everyone in SAS will work actively to get passengers to their destinations from the outset.

– It will take a couple of days to be in full operation again. It is a large logistics task that must be done in a short time.

The press officer cannot go into detail on how much capacity the company will have in the first days after the strike, or give a percentage of flights that will still be affected by the strike after a possible solution.

But some flights will not take off anyway.

– Flights that have already been canceled will remain canceled, says the press officer.

She advises passengers to follow developments closely if passengers are to fly with SAS in the future.

– What can be good to know is that if you took the opportunity to move your flights to a later time, you can also move your journey back to the original flight, as long as it goes as normal.

The company sends out notifications if your flight is affected by cancellations.

– If you do not receive a message, you will arrive at the airport as planned.

– We recommend everyone to follow, go in and check if the plane leaves and ensure that you have updated contact information.
