Climate activist Greta Thunberg has been sentenced to pay 120 daily fines of NOK 50, reports Expressen.

The climate activist refused to move when the police asked her to. In total, seven activists remained seated.

– It is true that I was asked to, but chose to remain seated, Thunberg said in court, according to Expressen.

The case was heard by the Stockholm District Court on Wednesday after Thunberg refused to accept the fine she was given.

She has previously been convicted of similar climate actions. . Last year, she was sentenced to pay NOK 1,500 in daily fines for a climate campaign outside Malmö.

In October last year, Thunberg also participated in the Fosen demonstrations in Oslo.

Several of the campaigners had to appear in the Oslo district court after refusing to accept the fines of NOK 6,000. They were all acquitted.
