When the little girl Saylor (3) from North Carolina in the USA started fussing that there were monsters in her bedroom, this was explained away by her parents as a child’s vivid imagination.
The family had just watched the Disney movie “Monster Factory” when Saylor began making the allegations.
– We even gave her a bottle of water and said it was monster spray, so she could spray away any beasts at night, says mother Massis Class, according to the BBC.
For months, the three-year-old insisted there was something in her wardrobe.
Then a discovery was made.
– Like in a horror movie
The girl’s claims began to make sense when her mother discovered a swarm of bees staying near the pipe and attic of the family’s hundred-year-old house.
She wondered if it was the sound of the swarm that kept her daughter awake at night, and therefore called a beekeeper.

Using a heat-seeking camera, the specialist scanned himself from the attic downwards. According to the mother, the beekeeper had never seen a bee swarm establish itself so deep inside a wall.
Further investigation revealed a massive beehive further down towards the three-year-old’s room.
Then the wall was opened.
– They came flying out like in a horror movie, says the mother according to the BBC.

Expensive
The beekeeper removed around 60,000 bees and as much as 45 kilograms of hives from the wall of the house.
The bees were transported to a suitable location where they could establish a new home.
For the electrical plant, the end of the story was not so pleasant. Bees and honey had done great damage. According to Massis Class, the bees may have caused damage to the house for as much as 20,000 dollars (around NOK 200,000).
