Crimea, Traffic | Girl got the ticket on Thursday – caught for reckless driving and drunken driving last night

On Thursday, the girl got her driver’s license – but today she is already a pedestrian again.

Late on Thursday evening, the emergency police stood up with the laser in a 60 zone on Gevingåsen in Stjørdal. An average measurement was taken here – and the girl was measured at 86 km/h. That alone is enough to confiscate a driver’s license, but the UP patrol understood drunk driving.

– The driver appeared intoxicated, and had to go to the emergency room to give a blood test. Since she took the note yesterday, there was no driver’s license to confiscate, only a temporary driving licence. The girl consented to seizure, says operations manager Øystein Volden in Trøndelag police district.

The incident is logged by the police at 00:45 on Friday night.

Couldn’t catch the wobbly car

At 00.30 last night, the police received a report of a swaying car on the E6 near Magneten in Levanger. Tipsters were unable to capture the license plate number and police were unable to capture the car.

Stood stuck in the mud

At 00:45 on Friday night, the police went to Verdal to examine the car that Trønder-Avisa has written about – which was stuck in the mud.

– The car owner was in the process of trying to save the car. He brought several friends with him in an attempt to get it out of the mud, but had to give up. The site manager recommends the use of a tractor, says Volden.

At 01.15, the police state that a driver stopped at Kolvereid in Nærøysund.

– A driver in his 20s is suspected of drink driving. The driver will be produced before a doctor for evidence protection. The police are opening a case, inform the police in Trøndelag.

Not EU approved

At 03.30 the police stopped a car with a request for deregistration. This happened at Gevingåsen in Stjørdal.

– The police made an assessment of the condition of the car, and the driver was allowed to drive home and park. Furthermore, the car cannot be used until it is EU-approved, says Volden.

Noise from Russian bus

At 04.10 the police received a report about noise from a Russian bus in Stjørdal. The police got in touch with both the driver and the bus manager, and gave the Russian an order to calm down, and to keep quiet until Friday.

– There were no more messages, so it seems that they respected it. That’s good, says Volden.

The operations manager also reports three badger collisions in Nord-Trøndelag last night.

Brilliant spring day ahead

We have a lot of good weather to look forward to in the days ahead, and that applies not least to Friday. A glorious day is expected with temperatures of up to 13 degrees in Verdal, for example. Towards evening it becomes a bit more cloudy. Wind conditions are fairly calm, with a light breeze from the southeast. Gusts of wind can reach eight meters per second.

Traffic appears to be flowing freely on Friday – the Swedish Road Administration has, in any case, no new traffic reports of importance to Innherred.

On Trønder-Avisa’s website, you can read that store manager Tor Arne Mjøen at the Vinmonopolet in Steinkjer reacts to what he believes is obvious longing.
