Noem is the governor of South Dakota and has long been a name on many people’s lips as a possible vice president for Donald Trump.
She caused a stir when, in an excerpt from her upcoming book, she admitted to having shot her own dog, writes Politico.
In the book, Noem writes that she made repeated attempts to raise the dog “Cricket”, but that she realized that it would not be possible.
“I hated that dog,” Noem writes, adding that Cricket had proved “impossible to train,” “dangerous to anyone she came into contact with” and “less than worthless as a hunting dog,” according to The Guardian.
“At that moment, I realized I had to euthanize her,” writes Noem.
Noem is said to have then retrieved his rifle and taken the dog away to euthanize it. “It was not a pleasant job, but it had to be done,” writes Noem.

Targeting Biden
Now Noem is attracting attention again after she said in an interview on Sunday evening that she would have done the same with President Joe Biden’s dog “Commander”.
Commander was removed from the White House last year after it emerged that the dog allegedly attacked several White House employees.
– Joe Biden’s dog has attacked 24 Secret Service people. So how many people does it take to be attacked and dangerously injured before you make a decision about a dog? That is the question the president should be held accountable for, says Noem, according to the New York Post.

In the interview, Noem also says that Commander “should get to greet” Cricket.
“Psychopath”
For a long time, Kristi Noem was seen as a possible vice president for Donald Trump and she has long been a rising star in politics in the United States.
Now, however, it may look like Noah’s star is about to fade.

“Killing the dog and then writing about it put an end to any possibility of her being elected vice president,” political veteran Newt Gingrich has said of Noem.
Noem has been described as, among other things, a “psychopath” and that she showed “poor judgment” because she chose to share Cricket’s story.
