International V65 round at Momarken

--

Momarken is the first Norwegian track out in April and there is a nice V65 round waiting for you tonight.

A whole week’s worth of jackpot rounds in V75 Xpress last Tuesday, double jackpot in V86 on Wednesday evening and four days of V75 Easter bonanza where Sunday’s Multijackpot in Romme ended with a total of 150 million in turnover, are behind us when we start the first week of April on Monday 2nd Easter Sunday.

As you know, it’s a public holiday and it begins with a V4 lunch at Hagmyren and is followed by a great V75 round at Halmstad in the afternoon. On Monday evening, it is clear for the international V65 round at Momarken and there will probably be good sales here.

And it is precisely the Momarken international V65 round that will be discussed hereafter in this article. Play stops in V65 at 18.15. With only seven races on the menu at Momarken on Monday evening, the V5 game begins already in V65-3 with play stopping at 19.00. I find my V65.-banker already in V65-1.

Full confidence in Hop/Hamre
V65-1 is a so-called Oaks bonus for four-year-old Norwegian-born warmblood mares and the race can tempt with as much as NOK 50,000 in first prize. Frode Hamre has three of the six starters in the race and clearly believes in the most 6 Princess Philippa despite the fact that this starts from an additional 20 metres. Made one top run to second in V75 at Jarlsberg second last, but had to go to the outside all the way and lost the finish photo to leading Pontiac. Was the big favorite in a race outside the V75 game at the international V75 round at Bjerke 14 days ago and then won at will. Coming across an upward 5 Annabelle (also this stands at 20 meters extra) in V65-1 at Momarken on Monday, but I think the Hamre mare is the best. 6 Princess Philippa will be my V65 banker at Momarken on Monday.

The fleet has the DD banker
The four-year-old cold-blooded mares also have their share Oaks Bonus Monday and that race is V65-5/V5-3/DD-1. Year debutant 7 Asak flower and Geir Flåten will be the clear favorite in this race, but will pick up 20 meters extra on a very strong 4 Hauan Saga. Asakblomst was among the best three-year-old mares last year and Flåten is optimistic ahead of the year’s debut. I choose to use 7 Asakblomst as my DD banker at Momarken on Monday.

But both in the V65 game and the V5 game I’ll bring some dressings. Mentioned 4 Hauan Saga is the obvious second choice in the race, but also Jan Roar Mjølnerød’s debutant of the year 8 Mjølner Tordis gets a place on the V65 and V5 proposals.

Right opposition now and can win for Gjervan
V65-2 has a fairly clear favorite trio and probably is 6 ID Rosalin with his trainer and coachman Bjørn Steinseth, who will be the most trusted. But 1 Jelly May will be my first choice. The mare to Trond Gjervan started the year with two straight winning runs for Gunnar Austevoll, but has fared poorly in his last two races and also faced good horses. It’s down a class against Monday and even with owner Trond Gjervan himself in the sulky here, I believe in a good chance of winning.

Bingo in V65-3/V5-1
Despite the fact that she failed as the big favorite at Bjerke last Tuesday, Geir Flåten and his four-year-old mare 4 Tyri Lea will probably be the favorite in V65-3/V5-1. For me it is only a dressage horse. 7 Engineer K. has the benefit of winning races in his first four starts in his career, but has shown good stuff and this task looks cheap. My slightly cheeky favorite in a bad race in V65-3/V5-1.

Motivated favorite in V65-4
6 Zander Solo made his annual debut with flying colors at Bjerke last Wednesday and won very easily after driving to the last lap from the finish line. Gave a great impression in that winning run and has probably also progressed with that run in his body. Not particularly deterring opposition in this race and no doubt that 6 Zander Solo is a motivated favorite in V65-4/V5-2.

Hop begins and ends?
Vidar Hop coachman my V65 banker in V65-1 and also in V65-6/V5-4/DD-2 he sits up behind a Frode Hamre-trained horse that becomes the favourite. 5 Lighthouse won easily at Momarken last Monday and has won three of his last five races. But those winning races have been taken over races of 2100 meters and 2600 meters. Monday is a sprint, and makes it somewhat more chance-like. But should still stand as a motivated favorite in the V65-6/V5-4.
