City council leader Eirik Lae Solberg is deeply concerned about the almost daily episodes of violence and that criminals are ravaging Oslo. The Labor Party’s Tonje Brenna and Hadia Tajik promises to break the backs of the criminal gangs.
In debate after debate, we hear about the same proposed solutions: more police officers on the streets, more focus on preventive measures and a stronger commitment to children and young people who fall outside and belong to poor families.
While the politicians repeat their beautiful promises and proposals – Oslo becomes more unsafe.

Nothing to laugh about
The interesting thing is that almost none of our political leaders dare to point out the obvious, namely that immigration to Norway has led to more crime, more drug trafficking and more episodes of violence.
Talking about “Swedish conditions” in Norway is no longer something people laugh at.

A brave proposal
Young Høyre’s leader Ola Svenneby suggested last year that Norway should introduce a freeze on immigration – to prevent Norwegian society from falling apart.
It was a brave proposal.

A full stop to immigration may not be possible – but we can at least get a break in immigration.
We need that to get an overview of today’s challenges; and not least to improve all our integration measures.
I want to challenge both Lae Solberg, Brenna and Tajik to put their fear of touch aside, and grasp what Ola Svenneby warned against last year:
We have to do something about the entire immigration policy in Norway, to prevent our society from falling apart.
