This is happening today – Tuesday

These are some of the most important issues in Finansavisen on Tuesday:

Norwegian sports suppliers fear that the British Frasers Group will gobble up all of XXL. One of the suppliers says “it will be night” for many of them.

Finansavisen has been in contact with a number of XXL’s suppliers. No one wants to be named for fear of losing future orders, but the overall tone is that many are concerned that the business model will be drastically changed and that investment in own brands will escalate.

Norwegian riches are in the fray when the giant property Alang Alang in Cannes in France is now to be sold at auction for a whopping NOK 945 million.

It is the Norwegian estate agent Fredrik Lilloe who is selling the property for a British property developer. According to Lilloe, two rich Norwegian families have expressed an interest in the property.

Arctic Securities customers have already lost 70 percent of their money in stock market newcomer Public Property Invest.

PPI was started by Swedish SBB and Arctic when property prices were at their peak three years ago. Now NOK 2.6 billion is gone. This corresponds to 70 percent of the investors’ money.

In a leading position, Trygve Hegnar writes about Elon Musk. While the US Secretary of State left China with unfinished business the other day, Musk is said to have reached a cooperation agreement with the Chinese internet and AI giant Baidu. Truly impressive.

What is at stake is Musk and Tesla’s plans for self-driving cars. It is a long way from now before traffic is dominated by driverless cars. In any case, it will be earlier in Beijing than in Oslo, where it will soon not be possible to drive at all, writes Hegnar.
