Razaz fled from Kharkiv in Ukraine to Slovakia and four months ago had arrived in Germany. She lived with her mother in a refugee reception in Mannheim, Germany.

Supposed to have bragged about the “birth” before the murder

According to Ukrainian media, as cited by German Bild, both Mia, Marharyta and Maryna are said to have last been seen in a restaurant with a woman. According to an acquaintance of the family, this woman is said to have offered Ukrainian refugees help to process refugee documents in German through social media.

But the police’s theory is that the couple had been planning the murder and kidnapping for a long time. According to friends and neighbors of the couple Bild has spoken to, they should have boasted about the “birth” of their daughter even before the murder.

The fact that a Russian is said to have helped kill Ukrainian refugees in a NATO country has provoked strong reactions in Germany.

According to the UN Refugee Agency, almost 6.5 million Ukrainian refugees have been registered globally since the war broke out over two years ago. Poland has received approximately 60 percent of these. Germany hosts more than one million Ukrainian refugees, while in Norway just over 72,000 are registered.
