Sport: – There the cup was smoking, Jürgen Klopp, noted Viaplay commentator Andreas Toft.

The red shirts are in a terrible period and stand with only one win in the last five league games. It has also meant that they have almost completely dropped out of the gold medal match.

After Saturday’s point loss, two points separate league leaders Arsenal, who also have one less game to play. Manchester City are one point ahead with two games to play.

It wasn’t just the result that stole the focus of the match, because Liverpool’s big star Mohamed Salah started the match on the bench, but was allowed to leave after 78 minutes.

Before the Egyptian entered the turf, however, he could be seen arguing with coach Jürgen Klopp, who eventually walked away from the confrontation.

– If I speak today, it will catch fire, Salah said after the match, according to https://twitter.com/ptgorst/status/1784223341097681036?s=46&t=Nyv7iTZv6EQrE4_WCV0wQw&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAAR3RgFZy_Y-UrwZRuc5EOPz4tzvP4-q-BReffyb3g_mLZ6EdYdOn8_lS4nE_aem_ARhjNu-usIclnKZWT2h6oAvBH7EoORLzDLINLeEIxtGxPbmJgsHnIDL8g2y64xJcdODLP6ZQJWH_zzlV7bw9pU_L.

However, Klopp believes that they spoke out in the dressing room and that they are done with the situation.

– We have already talked about it in the dressing room. I am done with the case, said the German TNT Sports.

Admittedly, the leadership did not last long. After the break, Liverpool came out on top and after just three minutes the teams were level again when Andrew Robertson scored the equaliser.

After just under an hour of play, the turnaround was completed when Cody Gakpo knocked a shot past Angelo Ogbonna and Alphonse Areola, before the ball went into the goal.

Admittedly, the joy was short-lived for the visitors when Michail Antonio scored the equalizer from a fantastic cross from Bowen.

Unfortunately for the visiting away supporters, it was not enough either, and they therefore had to be content with sharing the points in the capital.

Next weekend, Liverpool host Tottenham at home, before visiting Aston Villa the following week. The season ends at home against Wolves.

Klopp’s men are in all likelihood dependent on a full pot in all matches if they are to have any hope of league gold.

Liverpool had plenty of chances to take the lead in London, but it was still the home crowd who were able to unleash their jubilation when Jarrod Bowen tapped in the 1-0 goal two minutes before half-time.

Jürgen Klopp really had a few tricks up his sleeve. It was not just Salah who had been benched. Darwin Núñez and Joe Gomes were also substituted after the equaliser.
