Now the 2nd division club Lysekloster is considering filing a protest against the Oslo club.

That’s what Bergens Tidende writes.

Lysekloster and “Kåffa” met in the cup’s 4th round, but it was in YMCA’s match against Sogndal in the 3rd round that YMCA player Adnan Hadzic played and scored in the penalty shootout.

Hadzic received two yellow cards in the cup’s first two rounds and should thus have been suspended for the Sogndal match.

– Here we have made a mistake that we have not been aware of, unfortunately. It is only to be regretted, says Thor Erik Stenberg to VG. He is the general manager of the YMCA.

– The NFF contacted us today. We will send them an explanation, and then it will be up to them what the consequences will be here.

– What consequences do you fear?

– I don’t really fear much other than a reprimand or a fine, possibly. It is regrettable that it happens. We must of course have control over such things ourselves, replies Stenberg.

In the series, players are suspended for four yellow cards. In the cup, on the other hand, only two are needed.

– We have a system that captures yellow cards in the series, so it does not capture NM matches. So there we played the trick, says the YMCA leader.

Lysekloster, which plays on a daily basis at level three in the league system, is considering lodging a protest.

– We will look into it. Just imagine if they win the whole cup. Then something is really jarring, says Lysekloster coach Ruben Hetlevik to BT.

The YMCA has been asked to come up with an explanation by the Norwegian Football Association, writes BT. A decision will be made as to whether a sanction case will be instituted next week.

YMCA is scheduled to meet Stabæk in the NM quarter-finals on 6 October.
