Joost Klein from the Netherlands was supposed to perform as number five before Israel, but when it was time for his performance, he did not show up.

The EBU said in a statement that it is investigating an incident that was reported to them involving the Dutch artist.

The statement also states that Joost will not participate in the exercise for the time being.

– I think it may be due to a curse that he has to sing between the two Israeli artists from Luxembourg and Israel, a bit of a dead end you might say, says president Morten Thomassen of the Norwegian Grand Prix club.

Joost was on stage at the start of the dress rehearsal, when all the artists were presented.

At the press conference after semi-final two yesterday, he sat next to Eden Golan and Israel. When Eden Golan received a critical question that the organizer felt she did not need to answer, Klein broke in and said: “Why not?”

– We know little about what has happened to the Netherlands, they were supposed to perform as number five, says Håkon Røssum, head of Eurovision Norway, to TV 2.

VG has tried to contact the Dutch delegation to find out why he did not perform during today’s test.
