On Saturday morning, the news agency Reuters reports on Ukrainian attacks inside Russia. According to Ukrainian intelligence, Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in the Krasnodar region of Russia.

Images of the attack published on social media show what appears to be an attack at night.

The attack is said to have been carried out by so-called SBU drones, and is said to have caused a fire at the Slavyansk facility in the Krasnodar region in south-west Russia.

Ukrainian drones are said to have also attacked a Russian military airbase in the same region, according to Ukrainian intelligence.

In total, there have been nine drone attacks on the Slavyansk oil refinery, according to head of the district Roman Siniagovskyi. On Telegram, he writes that the plant was not damaged due to the protection system and “joint efforts of responsible officials”.

Images on social media, however, show what is supposed to be an oil refinery on fire.

Russia’s defense minister says on Saturday that the Russian defense forces have destroyed 66 drones over the Krasnodar region and two drones over the Crimean peninsula.

Earlier on Saturday, Russian attacks were reported on energy facilities in the Dnipropetrovsk region in central Ukraine and the western regions of Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk.
