– Save the routes to explode

--

– I have also been young and understand that they want to party in the Russian era, but last night I turned 90, says Stine Foss Sagen (32).

She lives on Sogn terrasse by Klaus Torgårds vei which goes to McDonalds in Gaustad. It is a very popular place for the city’s and neighboring cities’ Russian buses.

– Last night I counted eighteen Russian buses. We have elderly people in the block who are afraid that the windows will explode because there is so much vibration in the block from the bass, says Sagen.

Nordre Aker Budstikke wrote about the case first.

– 25th night without sleep

And it is not the first night the Russian party in the neighborhood, according to Sagen.

– Since the Russian season started this year, it has been like this. This is the 25th night in a row without sleep for us in Sogn terrasse, says Sagen.

She works as a nurse and says it is absolutely necessary to get enough sleep to function at work.

On the other side of the road there is a temporary home for Ukrainian refugees, Sagen points out.

– The Russians run back and forth right outside them, stop in our car parks where they urinate and vomit, she says.

Nordre Aker Budstikke has interviewed a number of neighbors who dread Russian time because they lose sleep at night.

– Every single night there is a cacophony of sound, which makes it completely impossible to sleep, board chairman Erik Rekdal told the newspaper.

The police tell the newspaper that they have had many assignments in connection with McDonalds in Gaustad, but that they have given strict instructions to the Russians not to play loud music when they are parked.

Notorious Russian place

On the night of Thursday, the nurse, who has lived in the housing association for 10 years, got tired of sleepless nights and called the police shortly before 1am.

– They arrived at the scene quite quickly, went from bus to bus and asked them to leave the scene. At 03.30 everyone was back again, says Sagen.

– The police came and asked them to leave the place again, she says.

Operations manager Roy Langengen in the Oslo police district confirms to VG on Thursday that they moved out following reports of Russian disturbances in the area.

– At 05.30 there were many Russian buses at McDonalds Gaustad. They obstructed traffic and were sent away by the police.

– It is a well-known place where the Russians gather, says Langengen.
