What does Bordgleder have cost Kinn municipality annually so far? Here are some calculations, based on figures I have collected and quality assured through contact with individuals in the municipal system:

I expect 150 meals per day in Florø and 100 meals per day in Måløy (ratio 60/40).

Here is Bordgleder their prices approx. NOK 200 per meal so far, and that includes everyone in Kinn municipality with Bordgleder’s current price after they took over from Måløy. Here, in addition, there is a price increase in Måløy from NOK 135 per day, which was the price until Bordgleder took over, at NOK 150 per day. day with my surcharge for increased prices.

I compare this against a binding offer from Matvarehuset in Bergen, delivered directly to the institution in either Måløy or Florø. Here is a simple calculation and setup, with this as a basis – all based on prices per year:

Thus, today we subsidize Bordgleder with NOK 6.48 million annually in the Florø region.

In addition, they will have approx. 1.8 million per year extra in next year’s budget. In total, this is almost 8.5 million in pure subsidiary.

We subsidize Bordgleder with NOK 4.32 million annually in the Måløy region.

Total support for Bordgeder today per year: NOK 8,500,000 + NOK 4,320,000 = NOK 12,820,000, or almost NOK 13 million annually.

Måløy could deliver cheaper ones, but they were forced under Bordgleder. The goal was to save money.

But it didn’t work out that way. It cost both the Måløy community and Kinn municipality dearly.

Måløy could deliver for: NOK 150 x 100 x 360 = NOK 5.4 million. It is therefore 1.8 million cheaper than Bordgleder’s 7.2 million. Consider that it is 1.8 million cheaper to have a cook/serve service seven days a week! A much better, more varied and strongly desired scheme up here. I would call this in simple Norwegian language a robbery. The politicians read this information as credible. No one would listen to those on the kitchen floor who knew that Bordgleder often chose simple and expensive solutions.

Politically, this can no longer be argued about. People must be allowed to see the realities of this matter for themselves.

In Florø they insist that they want a cooker/refrigerator, and that they want the work of heating the food themselves. This entails the use of nursing time at all institutions. This is a stand-alone position. I think it is only the flor islanders in the whole country of Norway who will take it upon themselves to heat the food for free.

In any case, the case is then clear: Don’t they want a cook/server in the south, even when they’ve got a new kitchen? Well, then they really don’t need anything other than to say yes to the offer from Matvarehuset:

Matvarehuset supplies cooker/refrigerator at a much lower total price than Bordgleder has in pure cost price. In addition, they adapt to the elderly, who often need more diets and, for example, a little extra fat in their food without supplements.

My claim is: Bordgleder is the most subsidized company in the whole of Kinn municipality.

There are not many companies that can boast of receiving around NOK 13 million annually – not to mention delivering hot food, from a brand new kitchen.

Then the conclusion is surprisingly simple.

Kinn municipality can easily win a grand prize in the Lotto of tens of millions of kroner:

Sell everything they have: Pans, equipment and the newly purchased building. Put down Table Joys. Save man-years for other tasks, get rid of dealings with the board and chairpersons, save money on audits and much, much more, in addition to the fact that municipal annual costs can be eliminated. My estimate of these savings is a total of up to NOK 40 million.

The result will be a much better and cheaper offer for users. Matvarehuset operates in a completely different division to Bordgleder, which has been allowed to play shop within a shop for long enough.

With such great savings can Florø invest in a cook/server in the whole municipality instead. Stop hesitating to heat the food yourself, and stop believing the chairman of Bordgleder. He has not litigated Kinn municipality in this case. The council of elders in Kinn is unanimous and crystal clear that they want to cook/serve. When politicians fail, can they perhaps show the way?

Take one of these grips, the result is annual savings of millions. There will be money left over to maintain schools and for other good, necessary measures in Kinn municipality. But then the question arises: It is urgent whether we want the new kitchen in Florø into the new planned nursing home, where it should actually be! Or is it too late?

SOURCE BASIS:

In connection with obtaining the figures for this text, the undersigned has spoken to employees in the municipality at various levels, obtained prices from Matvarehuset, spoken to former external customers of Bordgleder, as well as read most of what is conveyed about Bordgleder in the local newspapers and municipal documents. I have also followed the political issues on the theme of the Kinn policy and listened to several of the debates on food deliveries to the elderly in the municipality.

This post has been submitted to management in Bordgleder KF for simultaneous response, which they do not want (ed. note).
