Google says it will correct problems with interface navigation starting with Android 15, which will be launched in the autumn.

Choppy scrolling

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro owners have long complained that the interface stutters when browsing apps. This is clearly unacceptable on a modern smartphone, and unfortunately: the problem can not be corrected with an update of the current version, because as already mentioned: instead, customers may have to wait until October.

We don’t know why the problem can’t be fixed with Android 14, but at least Google has confirmed that they are on the case after the complaints started popping up as early as October 2023, which is the same month the Pixel 8 series arrived. The problem is so widespread that over 50 percent of those questioned by 9To5Google reported that they had experienced problems with “wobbly” navigation when browsing apps.

Google has already announced that Android 15 will make it possible to develop faster apps

We have experienced a bit of the same problem on several Android mobiles, and therefore cannot say that we have experienced that the Pixel 8 models are special postponed – instead we have seen it as a “thing” with Android. In general, iOS is a more natural touch platform, regardless of browser or app. Perhaps one or more of the reasons is that Apple patented the best ways to do it, and that it’s hard to make something work the same way without to trample on the California company’s copyright.

Do you think iPhone or Android do touch and/or touch animations better?
