Marcus Rashford (26) has taken to social media to condemn the extensive criticism he has received from supporters recently.

– I appreciate your support! It is harassment, and has been for months. Enough is enough, Marcus Rashford wrote on Twitter at 01:36 on Friday night.

The message was a response to another user who showed Rashford sympathy for all the criticism he has had to endure over time.

The Manchester United forward has been heavily criticized both by pundits and on social media throughout the season for poor performances. Rashford has scored twice in his last ten Premier League games.

It has also not helped that the team itself had a chaotic season with an early exit in the Champions League and a disappointing Premier League season where they are now in sixth place with five games left to play.

Here is some of what Rashford was criticized for earlier in the season:

The injured striker was taken off the pitch during the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Coventry City on Sunday. When he left the pitch at Wembley, he was booed by parts of the supporters’ crowd, writes the local newspaper Manchester Evening News.

Rashford was then left out of the squad that beat Sheffield United 4–2 in the midweek match with a reported injury.

Since his debut in February 2016, Rashford has played 399 games, scored 131 goals and provided 64 assists for Manchester United.
