It is the usually reliable motorsports website The Race that reports this on Wednesday, without specifying the source of its information.

But they report that Hauger will test in Berlin in May – and that two more men, Thomas Preining and Matt Campbell, will get the opportunity to test for the Porsche team.

Dennis Hauger has always said that he has no “plan B” beyond betting against Formula 1. The Norwegian has had a good start to the Formula 2 season, even if he crashed out of a possible victory in Australia last time.

He is in 3rd place in the championship.

VG has not been able to get in touch with manager Harald Huysman so that the information in The Race can be confirmed.

Porsche’s German driver Pascal Wehrlein leads the Formula E championship after five rounds. The other driver, António Félix da Costa, is only in 11th place.

Dennis Hauger has had a good relationship with the Porsche system and has driven Porsche races at home at Rudskogen in recent years.

Short videos

The Race writes that Porsche has already had a test with ABT Cupra driver Nico Müller.

Hauger’s teammate from last year’s Formula 2, Jehan Daruvala, drives the Formula E championship for Maserati.

Formula E is the Formula E championship with electric cars. Since 2020, the series has had FIA World Championship status. Several former Formula 1 drivers now drive Formula E, among them last year’s AlphaTauri driver Nyck De Vries.

Dennis Hauger has time off from the Formula 2 championship until the weekend of 17 May.
