Two participants had to leave the “Game”:

--

The viewer success “The Game” has been rolling over the TV screens for the past few months, and the atmosphere is almost palpable as the semi-finals soon approach. Last week, it was Danby Choi (31) who had to give thanks after what he himself describes as “a dagger in the back”.

– A shock

During Sunday’s episode, the players compete in a different version of “Memory”. A number of zodiac signs are placed around the villa, and the participants’ job is to match the correct zodiac sign with the correct location in the house – all in the shortest possible time.

Ahead of the game, contestants are told that two will be sent home before the semi-finals, which means a double set of votes.

The upper floor had bought a hint before the competition, and the advantage meant that Line Andersen (50) eventually brought home immunity and extra money in his pocket.

Erik Thorstvedt (61) and Steffen Eriksen (60) from the basement team therefore had to leave “The Game” in Sunday’s episode.

– Would do things differently

– Not a better person

Despite the intense atmosphere that is constantly shown on the TV screen, Thorstvedt can reveal to Dagbladet that the participation was a “chill” experience.

– It was a pleasure from start to finish, and I basically escaped much of the worst of the mental stress when I ended up quickly in the basement, says “Norway’s best goalkeeper”, and adds:

– I tried to stick to somewhat clean lines, which made it much easier for myself. The thought of voting out someone on my own team didn’t even cross my mind. It’s really nice that people do it in different ways, and it doesn’t make me any better than anyone else.

He also emphasizes that he would have let Vidar Magnussen (46) run away with the victory if it had been the two of them who had climbed all the way to the top.

– I told Vidar, after he had knocked out Danby, that if we had met in the final, I would have let him win. I feel some things have to be rewarded and what he did was huge. He saved me, says Thorstvedt.

Tear wet

It didn’t come as a big shock when the time came to pack up the things and go home from “The Game”.

About the incitement: – Was quite intense

– I sent a message home three evenings in a row saying: “I’ll be home tonight”. Then I also had to send three evenings in a row: “I’m not coming home anyway”, explains the 61-year-old.

When it became known that Thorstvedt was to leave the villa, Anette Hoff (62) was clearly affected by the decision, and burst into tears when she had to say goodbye to the former footballer.

– It is clear that it was a bit difficult, because she is again against the wolf pack. It is nevertheless a bit poetic that the first person to be voted out and down in the cellar is the one who lasts the longest on our team, says Thorstvedt.

BUBBLE: Ida Elise Broch has received a lot of criticism for some of the choices she has made in the TV 2 venture “The Game”. Now she is supported by opponent Danby Choi.

Eriksen also believes that the experience has been far more pleasant than what is shown on TV.

– It has been beyond fun, but of course you don’t see it. It is filmed 24/7 and only one hour of the 24 hours is shown, says Eriksen.

The dagger in the back: – Quite ugly

The publican is also clear that he does not regret the tactics he chose.

– Now I had no goal of winning a lot of money, I wanted an experience and many new friends.

– Basically, I’m no stranger to playing dirty and “taking a Danby” myself, but it wasn’t appropriate to do something like that, because we had to stick together. We were broke and needed each other.

That the “Game” adventure ended this week, however, was not a surprise for the customs officer.

– Should have just shut up

– We were pretty sure that Erik and I were going to smoke that night. So for my part, I was satisfied – not because I was done or didn’t want more, but I was satisfied to get as far as I did. It was easier to be tipped out then than the first time, and I also got further than Danby.

– What do you take with you after this experience?

– It is very, very nice. The barely two weeks there were like an adventure for me. Without famous people, without TV, without mobile and without anything. You don’t get that impression when you see it on TV, and they have cut out all the positive things that happened between us. That’s what we players take with us.
