The move is causing a stir – in Sweden

--

Rosenborg’s star forward, Ole Sæter (28), was at the center of events both during and after the match as Rosenborg got off to a dream start to this year’s elite series season.

– That’s the sickest thing. Is it possible? exclaimed Erik Thorstvedt about the dream goal in TV 2’s studio.

The projectile is probably already after the first series round a candidate for the season’s goal.

The reactions hail

The 28-year-old came on from the bench and was heavily involved in Rosenborg securing three points against Sandefjord on the very worn Lerkendal mat.

But in retrospect, it is not the wild scoring that has created the big headlines. In the interview with TV 2 after the match, a trønder was on fire to say the least.

– It was lovely, but I don’t remember much of it, so now I’m going home, take the mobile phone in my left hand, the cock in my right hand and enjoy myself. It will be late tonight, Sæther said with a twinkle in his eye.

That move came as a surprise at TV 2’s studio.

– When you’ve scored a goal like that, you can get away with almost anything, Thorstvedt said.

Creates foreign headlines

Across the Swedish border, our neighbors have also caught on to Sæter’s shock performance live.

“Ole Sæter is attracting attention after the message on TV. The Norwegian’s act of masturbation causes a stir,” writes Swedish Expressen.

“Ole Sæter struck with his left foot. He thought of celebrating with his right hand,” the newspaper continues.

TV 2’s reporter felt compelled to remind “Løven fra Singsaker” that he had to think about the younger viewers.

– Is the quote inside? asked VG after yesterday’s match.

– It depends on whether you are over 16 or not. Underneath it certainly isn’t. If anyone found it offensive, I apologize for that. But that’s the way I am, Sæter explained.

– Took matters into my own hands

The Swedish Aftonbladet has also caught up with the session which took place in the middle of Lerkendal.

“Rosenborg’s Ole Sæter took matters into his own hands when he knocked the ball into the goal from 30 metres. After the win? Then he took matters into his own hands again,” writes the newspaper.

Finnish Hugo Keto guarded the cage for Sandefjord on Sunday evening. There is probably a reason why the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat has also mentioned the special interview.

“Nordmann scored on the Finn – then there was a completely incomprehensible comment from him live”, writes the Finnish newspaper.

Rosenborg’s media manager Jørgen Stenseth defended Sæter’s rather blunt statement later on Sunday.

– Ole’s adrenaline immediately after the match after scoring a goal like that was probably sky high. As we know Ole Sæter, it can get a little out of hand sometimes, said Stenseth to TV 2.
