The documentary about Jürgen Klopp’s last six months as Liverpool manager is scheduled to be released in August, but so far no streaming services have secured the rights to show it. That’s what The Athletic writes on Monday.

Disney+ should have been at the front of the queue of the candidates in question, but so far nothing has been signed with anyone. Liverpool FC have expected to bring in over ten million pounds for the series, which has been filmed since December.

Got to join the dressing room

Klopp has previously said that it would not be appropriate to have an “All or Nothing” or “Being: Liverpool”-like series about his team, but this time he still chose to give the club the green light. The TV crew even got to join the dressing room when the players celebrated the League Cup trophy at Wembley in February.

The rest of the documentary will not be a retelling of a triumphant journey, but rather the stomach-churning we have had since mid-March. It can of course also make for good television, but the creators of the documentary had probably hoped for even more to cheer about.

Lorton Entertainment is filming the series, which will aim to bring out the culture of Liverpool FC and the supporters who follow the club. In addition, it is expected that the young players will get some camera time.

In Liverpool FC, it is Drew Crisp who is responsible for the documentary. He is deputy head of the club’s digital department, and hopes the series can increase Liverpool FC’s global reach. The Athletic writes that CEO Billy Hogan and Klopp then agreed to the idea.

But who will show it is still unknown.
