On Thursday morning, King Charles (75) will deliver an Easter greeting to the people. Sky News reports.
The king, who announced in February that he was undergoing cancer treatment, expresses “great sadness” at not being able to attend the Royal Maundy service held in England on Maundy Thursday.
– The Maundy service has a very special place in my heart, he says initially, and continues:
– Jesus set an example of how we should serve and take care of each other – and how we as a nation need and benefit greatly from those who extend a friendly hand to us, especially in a time when we need it.

The 75-year-old, who was acceded to the throne after Queen Elizabeth’s death, also highlights a promise he made during the coronation ceremony, namely to follow Christ’s example.
