European Championships in ice skating

Major championships belong in Hamar and in the Viking ship. On January 6-8, it is again ready for the EC all-round and sprint. Welcome to kick-start 2023 with a skating party!

Program for SUPER SATURDAY with the Sports Festival at Greveløkka/Ankerskogen

• 09:00-14:30 Hamar sprintcross (freestyle cross-country skiing). Hamar Ski Club organizes a freestyle sprint race in Ankerskogen for the age group 8-16 years. It will be full speed when
  skiers will complete the Hamar sprint cross live on NRK.
• 10:30-19:00 NRK Sports Saturday – NRK Sport has a studio at Greveløkka
  all day. Program manager Ida Nysæther Rasch brings Therese Johaug &
  several experts.
• 12:30-18.15 NRK Superlørdag – live from Ankerskogen
• 11:50-12.20 Figure skating demonstration. Children and young people are in the center and become real sports heroes for a day!
• 13.45-14.30 Hockey matches live on NRK
• 12.00-15.00 Swimming meet in Ankerskogen swimming hall. There will be swimming competitions in the Ankerskogen swimming pool. Expert commentators are Irene Dalby and Ole Kr. Stoltenberg.
• 15:00-15.30 Super show and the BlimE dance. Show up and join the Supershow and
  dance the BlimE dance together with the Fantorange. The dance is recorded between 15.00 and 15.30 and broadcast a little later on NRK in prime time.

Sports gala

The 2023 sports gala will be held in the Hamar Olympic Amphitheater (CC Amphitheater) on Saturday 7 January. This gala has been an annual event since 2002, and it is broadcast live on NRK. The sports gala is organized to recognize athletes, teams, coaches and enthusiasts who have made an extraordinary contribution to Norwegian sport.

• Nicolay Ramm is this year’s presenter for the Sports Gala.
• As usual, there will be features with well-known artists at the Sports Gala. Who it is will be known later.
• At the Sports Gala, prizes will be awarded in 12 categories. Among them is the Name of the Year, which is voted for by the public, as well as an honorary award.

After two exceptional years, it is finally ready for a large-scale celebration of the heroes in and behind sports with a packed hall.
